Mike Logsdon is a master of Kung Fu and of reading comics. That said, some of the characters come off a little bit rushed in certain areas which slightly blemishes this newfound beauty. Her new designs fit perfectly with the tone that our new writers are establishing, and the creative team work perfectly together in designing Batgirl’s new world. Babs Tarr is undoubtedly a major factor into just how well this new run is shaping up. The underlying plot teased in the conclusion of the last issue is also proving to be interesting as it leads to an incredibly fun and colorful threat, riveting action scenes, and a wonderfully entertaining and touching insight into how Babs manages to kick so much ass. The new Barbara is proving to be full of charm, but her supporting characters and the dynamic they share is proving to be just as charming. New characters introduced in this issue are a big part of the fun to be had with this issue as they round out the new supporting cast quite well. Flames explode from a building on the set of Batgirl. The gloves are off with this issue, and fans should be more than pleased with the results. While the previous issue was full of flare, this issue makes it seem that our new creative team was playing things a bit timidly.
